Instant Knockout is a fat burner manufactured by Roar Ambition – a UK-based supplement company. A market-leading product, Instant Knockout was originally made for MMA fighters who were looking for help cutting in time for competition.
Yet after increasing in popularity over the last few years, the weight-loss product is now used by men and women of all ages across the world.
But does this product deliver?
Instant Knockout costs slightly more than many other fat burners, so you no doubt want to know whether it’s worth your money.
Our team of experts take a look at every aspect of this product – we ignore the hype and check the facts at every stage of our review.
How does Instant Knockout work?
As in the case of every fat burner, the makers of Instant Knockout promise to help transform the way you look and feel. But it’s refreshing to find the website makes it clear this fat burner won’t work miracles.
Instead, it states that Instant Knockout COULD enhance fat-loss results – just as long as you use it as part of a healthy diet and exercise regime. Here’s how Roar Ambition says it works…
1) All-natural ingredients
Instant Knockout features 10 all-natural ingredients. These include vitamins, minerals and plant extracts. According to instantknockout.com, these ingredients are “safe to use” and may help “stop or slow down” fat storage.
2) May help increase your calorie burn
Experts say you need that to lose weight or fat, you need to burn more calories than you eat . As a result, we believe no fat burner of any worth would ignore this key principle.
Instant Knockout is said to possess thermogenic properties. Looking at the ingredients, we see the product contains ingredients like cayenne pepper and green tea, both of which are said to raise energy expenditure.
3) Could suppress the appetite
Roar Ambition also states that Instant Knockout is designed to help you control hunger. It features glucomannan (also known as konjac root) and other ingredients which are thought to help prevent food cravings .
4) Thought to raise energy levels
If you’ve ever been on a diet before, you’ll know that cutting calories can cause you to feel tired and lacking in motivation. Instant Knockout contains caffeine, which may help you fight fatigue and improve your mood .
Instant Knockout ingredients
One of the first things we noticed about Instant Knockout is its lack of proprietary blends. You may think that these days hidden serving sizes were a thing of the past, but they’re still all too common.
Thankfully, Instant Knockout’s transparent formula lets you see exactly what (and how much) you’re putting in your body. With this in mind, let’s take a look at some key ingredients…
1. Cayenne powder
Made from cayenne pepper seeds, this powder is said to be a potent thermogenic ingredient. Its main active ingredient is capsaicin – the compound which is thought to lend the pepper its spicy taste, pleasant aroma, and (most importantly) its ability to burn fat.
By heating up the body, this bioactive alkaloid could increase the rate at which you burn calories .
2. Green tea
Green tea contains catechins. According to research, these polyphenols help produce norepinephrine – another thermogenic which may help increase the rate at which your body burns calories.
Because green tea contains a small amount of caffeine, it may also increase energy and instill a greater desire to move around exercise, which in turn could lead you to burn even more calories.
In one study, green tea was shown to boost energy expenditure by 35%.
Glucomannan is NOT a fat burner – at least not directly. So what does it do? Well, the dietary fiber is said to feeling of satiety (fullness) by expanding in the stomach . As a result, it may help you feel less inclined to reach for the snack drawer.
In addition, glucomannan doesn’t contain any calories – meaning it could make you feel fuller without the need to eat more.
4. Caffeine anhydrous
Caffeine is the world’s most popular stimulant. According to research from Pennsylvania State University, 85% of American adults consume it in one form or another every day .
The stimulant is well-known for its ability to increase energy and focus, so it may come as little surprise to find it in Instant Knockout.
The fat burner contains 75mg of the stimulant per capsule, which is less than the amount in the average cup of coffee. With this in mind, it could offer just enough to increase energy without causing any jitters or crashes.
5. Green coffee extract
Green coffee extract derives from unroasted coffee beans. For this reason, it contains less caffeine than the brown (roasted) kind.
The extract contains chlorogenic acid, which is said to be the active fat-burning ingredient. It is believed to help the body burn fat – rather than carbohydrates or protein – to produce energy. In theory, reducing fat storage could lead to weight loss.
But while green coffee is a promising ingredient , it isn’t as well-researched as others in the Instant Knockout formula.
6. Black pepper extract
Also known as piperine (or in its patented form – BioPerine), black pepper extract is used largely to help the body absorb more of other ingredients , which may make them more effective.
In this formula, the black pepper is standardized to 95% piperine (PE), which appears to be standard for the higher-quality forms of the extract.
Visit Instant Knockout’s ingredient page to learn more about their ingredients and what each does to your body.
Instant Knockout uses 10 all-natural ingredients, all of which are used in amounts that are unlikely to cause side effects – as long you’re not allergic.
However, if you’re sensitive to caffeine, we advise some caution – never take it too close to bedtime, as it might disturb your sleep.
That said, Instant Knockout contains just 75mg of caffeine anhydrous per capsule, which (as we say earlier in this review) is less than you’ll find in the average cup of coffee (which is approximately 100mg).
Instant Knockout is free from proprietary blends. With this in mind, you can see exactly what this product contains. And with so many studies published online, you can even do your own research to verify how safe the product is.
Usage and dosage
Unlike some other products, Instant Knockout’s “directions for use” offer very specific guidelines.
It says you must take your four capsules per day. Take your first straight after you wake up and your second “between breakfast and lunch”. You should then swallow your third one hour after lunch, and your fourth one hour before dinner.
The manufacturer also states that you should take each capsule with a glass of water. This should help your body break down the nutrients and allow the glucomannan to expand in the stomach and create a sense of fullness.
As Instant Knockout is a natural product without any banned substances, the manufacturer states that it may be taken every day, with no need to cycle it.
Things to remember
Note: You must remember that results won’t happen overnight. Efficient weight/fat loss is a process that involves hard work, exercise and a lower-calorie diet.
Instant Knockout may enhance your results, but as stated at the start of this review, it is not a magic formula – nor is any other fat burner, for that matter.
For your own safety, it’s also worth bearing in mind that you should never exceed the stated dose recommendations.
Is it good value for money?
At $59 per bottle (one-month supply), Instant Knockout is certainly more expensive than many other fat burners.
This is true not just of those from other brands; Instant Knockout also costs more than at least one other fat burner in Roar Ambition’s own range.
This hasn’t put off a lot of users – the likes of Diego Sanchez (former MMA champion) talk in glowing terms about it. So do many ‘normal’ people (if the hundreds of other customer reviews are to be believed).
Buy more for better value
The more Instant Knockout you buy, the less expensive it becomes. When you buy two bottles, your purchase becomes eligible for free US/UK shipping.
We also found that when you buy three bottles, you get free delivery wherever you are in the world, plus one bottle free.
When you go for the three-bottle bundle, Instant Knockout also comes with a 90-day guarantee.
This allows you to try the product for three months – and if you’re unsatisfied with your results after that time, you can ask for a full product refund.
Where can you buy Instant Knockout?
It is not available on Amazon, eBay or from any other third party (online or offline).
As a result, bargain-hunting is out of the question, which may annoy some. But according to a member of the customer service team, selling direct to consumer allows the company to maintain control of its inventory.
This model may allow Roar Ambition to more regularly update the Instant Knockout formula in line with new developments in weight-loss research.
In theory at least, this ensures that customers only ever receive the latest and best version of the product.
1. Who is Instant Knockout designed for?
Roar Ambition states that anyone “over 18” may use Instant Knockout. It was designed for athletes and bodybuilders, but judging by the testimonials and other reviews we’ve seen,
men and women of all shapes and sizes get impressive results with the fat burner.
2. Does it contain stimulants?
Instant Knockout contains caffeine. If you’re sensitive to stimulants, it might be a good idea to test your tolerance by taking two capsules per day rather than four.
If you find it doesn’t cause anxiety or jitters, you may wish to consider gradually increasing your dosage.
3. Can I use it with other supplements?
Yes. Instant Knockout appears to be safe to take with other products. However, we would not advise using it with supplements that contain caffeine or other stimulants.
4. Is it suitable for vegetarians/vegans?
No. The capsule is made from gelatin.
5. Is Instant Knockout available in my country?
According to instantknockout.com, Roar Ambition ships the product to countries across the world.
The company has one distribution center in the US and one in the UK. If you live outside the US, your purchase will be shipped from the company’s UK depot by “Royal Mail tracked”.
We’ve heard great things about Instant Knockout for years now – and we have to say we’re impressed.
Our main gripe (even if it is small) is the use of green coffee extract – this ingredient is not as well-researched as some of the others on the list. Even so, some of the early research is promising .
Instant Knockout also uses gelatin capsules, which could rule out vegetarians and vegans. However, one or two herbivores on our team get around this by opening up the capsule and pouring the powder into water.
Another small downside is the cost – $59 isn’t cheap by any means. However, multi-buy options cancel out any cost issues to a large extent (find out more below).
What we like about Instant Knockout
This supplement covers the three key elements in any good fat burner: Metabolism boosting, appetite suppression and anti-fatigue effects.
Cayenne pepper and green tea are widely thought to help raise your metabolic rate, while glucomannan is a highly-researched appetite suppressant .
Meanwhile, caffeine (a small amount per capsule) is on hand to help raise your energy levels – which is very useful if you’ve cutting your calorie intake.
The product is free from proprietary blends – and it’s great to find a clear list of ingredients, most of which are high quality.
In short, Instant Knockout has all the features of a top-class fat burner.
The higher cost ($59) also becomes a non-issue when you realize that you can save money by purchasing the three-bottle bundle. This not only gives you one extra bottle free (33% extra), but comes with a “risk-free” three-month guarantee.
